In order for us to guarantee enough seating for all graduates and guests, we have set a deadline of May 1, 2010 for ordering caps and gowns. Please note that the price of the cap and gown increases the later you place your order. Please select this link to download the cap and gown order form.

While various packages are offered, in order to participate in the ceremony you only need to purchase the $28.00 cap, gown and tassel kit. Orders for caps are to be sent directly to the cap and gown supplier. Do not send your order to the JCS main office.

PHOTOS

House of Portraits is providing services for cap and gown photos. Cap and gown photos will be taken prior to the ceremony, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Order forms will be provided at the ceremony and payment must be presented to House of Portraits at the time the photo is taken. More information will be posted here once we have the details.

Escondido, CA 92025

Date Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Time 4:00 p.m.

PARTICIPATION IN THE CEREMONY

The deadline for confirming participation is May 1, 2010. In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, the main office must receive your RSVP by the May 1st deadline. The RSVP was enclosed in the recent letter sent out to students on February 23, but can also be downloaded and printed.

Important note
Students must have met high school graduation course requirements by May 28, 2010, the last day of school. Students who have not passed the CAHSEE, but have met high school graduation course requirements and have taken the May CAHSEE will be allowed to participate in the ceremony, but will not receive a high school diploma. In place of the diploma, students receive a Certificate of Completion. Once the student has passed the CAHSEE, a diploma is sent.

On the day of the ceremony

  1. Students must be wearing a cap and gown to participate in the ceremony.
  2. The zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol will be enforced. Any graduate, or guest found to be under the influence will be asked to leave.
  3. No noise makers of any kind are allowed. Upon usage of a noise maker the ceremony will be paused and those involved in the disruption will be asked to leave by site security.
  4. All JCS rules of discipline will be enforced.
  5. Graduation attendees, guests and families are expected to conduct themselves in a polite and appropriate manner that represents the importance of the occasion and respect for each other.

Guests

The number of guests allowed per student is dependent upon the number of students participating. Further information regarding guest will be provided at a later date.

Behavior

Again, we would like to state the importance of all attendees demonstrating appropriate, non-disruptive behavior. Graduates are expected to adhere to JCS school behavior policies, and we respectfully ask that all guests to adhere to the same standards. Noise makers are strictly prohibited by the venue. Guests, as well as graduates, found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or disrupting the ceremony will be asked to leave the premises.
