Introduction to Google Docs

The session introduce participants to Google Docs, a free word processing, spreadsheet & presentation suite. We’ll cover what Google Docs is, who can use it, and why you should use it. We’ll also talk about the drawbacks to Google Docs at this time. Participants will also be provided with quick orientations to Document, Spreadsheet, Forms & Presentation.

Social Bookmarking: Access Your Bookmarks from Anywhere
3:00-3:30 PM

Do you ever find yourself spend hours forgetting where you “put” that website link? Do you want to be able to access your bookmarks from anywhere? Do you want to be able to share links with others in an easy way? Come find out what social bookmarking is all about and never lose that website link again.

Students should also plan to attend the Science Fair Project Day on May 3 at the MMRC from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Bring your science fair information and materials to the meeting center to work on your board!  We will have fancy scissors, colored paper and fun decorating ideas!  Laptops are welcome—we can provide printing (black ink only).

The meeting will last approximately one hour and will be held on our campus at 29141 Vallejo Ave in Temecula (see directions below). Due to limited seating, please do not bring other family members. Parent and high school student must attend an informational meeting to be eligible for application. Incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders should plan to bring a current, unofficial copy of your transcript.

Learning French is very enjoyable when done in a nice atmosphere, at the students’ pace, with lessons catered to their specific needs, challenges and skills. Lessons can be done at your home, on the Internet or at a convenient place of your choice such as the library or bookstore.

On Monday afternoon, the two San Diego middle school teams played at the College Avenue Baptist Church gym.  The first place Jaguars wrapped up an undefeated season as they prevailed 41 to 24.  John Michael and Bryson led the Jaguars with 21 points and 12 points respectively.  Thomas, Kiley, and Shari also scored for the Jaguars.  The Surf were led by Jake (8 points), Ryan (6 points), and Mark (4 points).  Makenzie, Harrison, and Anna also scored for the Surf.

On Thursday the two Murrieta teams played each other.  The Eagles outlasted the Aftershocks by the score of 26 to 16.  Andrew, Devon, Jacob, and Ben scored for the Eagles.  Christian, Kevin, and Wesley scored for the Aftershocks.  The Murrieta Middle School Academy Cheer team added spirit to an already exciting game.

High School

In a game played on Monday, the San Diego Surf secured their first win by defeating the San Diego Jaguars by the score of 33 to 27.  Leading the way for the Surf were Joey and Tristan with 18 points and 15 points respectively.  The Jaguars were led by Hashem and John with 9 points and 8 points each.  William, Robert, and Dan also scored for the Jaguars.

Thanks goes out to all site coordinators, coaches, participants, parents, and scorekeepers for the wonderful season.  We look forward to the indoor soccer season starting in April.

In Thursday’s first game, the undefeated San Diego Jaguars beat the Murrieta Eagles 39 to 23.  John Michael and Bryson led the first place Jaguars with 19 points and 10 points respectively.  Allison, Shari, Kiley, and Thomas also scored for the Jaguars.  The Eagles were led by Devon and Andrew with 12 points and 8 points.  Ben and Ethan contributed one basket each for the Eagles.

The second game on Thursday saw the San Diego Surf come from behind to defeat the Murrieta Aftershocks by the score of 19 to 13.  Makenzie and Mark led the Surf with 9 points and 6 points respectively.  Ryan and Jake contributed one basket each to the Surf’s cause.  The Aftershocks were led by Kevin and Wesley with 6 points and 3 points.  Gianna and Shane scored one basket each for the Aftershocks.

High School

On Friday afternoon, the Murrieta Hawks finished off a perfect season with a win over the San Diego Surf.  Leading the way for the Hawks were Douglas with 19 points and Josiah with 12 points.  Harrison, Evan, and Austin scored 4 points while Todd and Tanner scored 1 point each.  The Surf were led by Tristan and John with 6 points each.  Joey rounded out the Surf’s scoring with 2 baskets.
