San Diego Learning Center

Our mission at the JCS – San Diego Learning Center is to provide supplemental classes that will enrich the educational experience of our home study students. Our site is also a meeting place for many JCS families and facilitators in San Diego County.  Our credentialed teachers are highly qualified and experienced in teaching a wide range of learning styles. Our site-based classes serve elementary home study students on Fridays and a physical education class that meets off-site at Clay Park, adjacent Henry Clay Elementary School on Wednesday mornings.  Our JCS families and staff create the unique ambiance found at the San Diego Learning Center because of their willingness to help one another and their passionate desire to help each student succeed. The SDLC is special because our people care.

Please note that P.E. will be offered on a different day off site. P.E. is not included in the full day option.

Students have two choices

Full Day Option:

Students arrive at 9:00 and take a full day of supplemental classes including Math, Writing, and Science. Students also take two elective classes as enrichment. That’s a total of five classes, lunch, and breaks. Classes end and students are picked up at 2:25. Parents who wish to enjoy a day to run errands, or who desire to have their students experience a full “school” day, should consider this option. The full day option uses 300 EUs.

Learning Center A La Carte

Just want to take a few classes? Then LC A La Carte is the choice for you! Choose from the selection of classes. Each class requires 100 EUs. Be sure to plan carefully. Students should be dropped off at the start of class and picked up promptly when the class is over. Supervision and childcare is not provided if a student has a break in classes.
