Enrollment Process


Julian Charter School will follow the following procedures once we receive your email request. The JCS new enrollment office will contact you back to answer your questions and obtain additional information from you. This information will be used to match your family with an Educational Facilitator (EF) in your area. In some cases, Julian Charter School may have a waiting list. You will be notified if this is the case.
Once your child has been assigned an Educational Facilitator, he/she will contact you to set up the enrollment meeting and complete the enrollment application.

You will need the following documents to enroll your child:

  • Copy of birth certificate as well as original to view
    • Acceptable alternatives include baptismal record, passport, green card, and foreign birth certificates.
  • Copy of your student’s immunization record as well as original to view
    • If student is not immunized, then parent will need to submit an immunization waiver form (located on page 2 of the Immunization Record)
  • Students entering into Kindergarten or First Grade will need to provide proof of Report of Health Checkup for School Entry
    • California state law requires first grade students to have a health screening.
    • The screening should be completed within 18 months prior to or within 90 days of entering first grade.
    • Parents may also waive this health screening, but need to sign and submit the form promptly with registration.
  • Copy of most recent IEP or 504 plan for any student who has an active IEP or 504 plan
  • Unofficial copy of high school transcripts (grades 9-12)
    • A copy is needed to help schedule your student in the most appropriate courses.
  • A utility bill or property tax statemtent establishing residency in Imperial, Riverside, San Diego or Orange County
