Resource Center Update for August 2nd and Beyond

Parents and staff, thanks for your patience as we continue the process of relocating our curriculum warehouse (resource center). We are still located in the warehouse section of the building on Beckman Court until the new building is finished, but we are here in a much smaller capacity. Here is an update on how the curriculum warehouse will be available to you starting on Tuesday, August 3.

The best way to get resources remains ordering using the online Follett catalog. Please place orders for your student’s resources online for later pickup.

However, if you must come to the warehouse to drop off or pull books, the warehouse will be open in a limited capacity. Starting on Tuesday, August 3, we will be open Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Please keep these guidelines in mind when considering a trip to the warehouse:

  • Please park in the back of the building, and enter through the marked door, next to the shipping bay.
  • It is best to search the Follett online catalog and order resources online for pickup. Coming to the warehouse to browse for books will be frustrating – resources have been moved around, some are in storage off-site and not available for browsing. You will need to bring a bushel-full of patience and understanding.
  • We strongly discourage bringing children into the warehouse – it is not a child-safe environment, and we have no space for children to wait for their parents.
  • The warehouse is short-handed, and RC staff will be focused on fulfilling online orders. They will not be available to answer questions about resources (parents should contact their EF with questions about the best resources for their students).
  • Parents or EFs who want an RC staff member to help them find and pull resources should contact Shawn Glahn at extension (951) 304-3051 x116 to make an appointment.
  • For information about meeting locations with your student’s Educational Facilitator, please contact your EF directly.

Update on Murrieta Meeting & Resource Center Closures

As we relocate the Murrieta Meeting and Resource Center to Avenida Acacias in Murrieta, the curriculum warehouse remains temporarily on Beckman Court.

The following services will be available from the warehouse starting July 12, and continuing at least until August 6. Please continue to check this website for the most up-to-date information about school operations.

  • The warehouse remains closed until July 12.
  • Please order all resources for students using the Follett online catalog, available on this website.
  • Resources ordered on Follett before July 25 will be delivered to your Educational Facilitator on August 2. Orders placed after July 25 will not be ready for delivery to your Educational Facilitator until after August 5.
  • Beginning July 12, the warehouse will be open for returns only. EFs and parents who have items to drop off may do so at the shipping/receiving bay, at the rear of the building.
  • No one will be able to enter the warehouse itself during this period.
  • Only RC employees will be pulling books to fulfill online orders.
  • If a resource is needed in-hand prior to August 2, the EF or parent placing the online order must e-mail Shawn Glahn AFTER placing the order online (sglahn@juliancharterschool.org) to advise Shawn of the special request. We will do our best to accommodate these special requests.
  • The reproducible items are very limited at this time and there may not be certain materials available for check out until after the RC has been relocated and reopened in our new facility.
