June 2010 Graduation Ceremony Information

December 7, 2009

Dear Graduates, Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that the second semester is almost here and that it is already time to begin thinking about graduation. We will be sending out another letter to your home in February providing more detailed information about the ceremony, but wanted you to have time to begin planning.

Ceremony Location: This year the graduation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the California Center for the Arts, located at 340 N. Escondido Blvd, Escondido CA 92025. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m and graduates must be there no later than 2:45 p.m.

Caps and Gowns: By mid-January, you will receive a letter and an order form from San Diego Graduation Supply, the local Herf-Jones representative. The cap and gown will cost approximately $32.00. The tassel is provided with the cap and gown. The order form from Herf-Jones will also have information on other graduation supplies. To participate in the graduation, you are only required to purchase the cap/gown/tassel kit.

Graduation Announcements: We do not have a school specific graduation announcement. You need to order them yourself. As a courtesy, San Diego Graduate Supply will be providing you with information about their generic announcements. You may order from them or any supplier you chose, you are under no obligation to buy from them.

Photos: Information on the photographer will be sent out in the next letter; however as in the past a photographer will be at the ceremony for cap and gown photos.

Grad Night: Information will be provided in the next letter sent to your home and on our website.

Best wishes for your future,

Lisa Simmons and Elena Hanley

Registration Closing Soon for Spring 2010 Online Middle School Home Study eClasses

December 2, 2009

Just a quick reminder that we still have some openings for students in our online middle school eClasses. The classes are small and designed to support what you are doing in home study and the best part is that you can attejd from the comfort of your own home! Because we are still piloting this program, there are no EUs being charged for these classes!

Registration will close after December 4, 2009. This early closing date allows us enough time to provide pre-requisite training classes for students who are new to the program as well as ship headsets and curriculum out to you in a timely manner. Classes will then begin on January 25 and end on May 25. The following classes still have some openings left:

Full details on classes, registration information, and pre-requisite training classes are located at http://www.juliancharterschool.org/k-8/e-classes/ or you can download our eClass Spring 2010 flyer.

We hope to see you in class this spring!
