Adina’s Etiqutte Classes

August 27, 2008

At Adina’s Etiquette your child will learn how to be the very best they can be. They will
learn the value of having good manners and a positive self-image. During this course
the younger students are going to be introduced to Mandy’s & Danny’s Manners program.
Mandy and Danny are in the 3rd grade and they are also going to etiquette school. They want to
share with everyone what they are learning through weekly letters.

In the Manners program the girls and boys will learn what the words; manners,
etiquette, polite, kind, character, tactful, the Golden Rule, considerate, courteous, and respectful
mean. And last, but not least they will learn how to be true to themselves.
The students will get many chances to use what they are learning through games and
activities. On the last class of Etiquette ΙΙΙ, the students will host their own party to
demonstrate what they have learned.

There are 3 Etiquette Programs: Etiquette I, Etiquette II, and Etiquette III
Each Program is for 4 weeks. Tuition is $55.00 for each Program.

Guided Reading Part Five

August 23, 2008

This series of videos demonstrates how a parent or teacher can help students improve fluency through guided reading. Guided reading is a strategy where the teacher provides support for individuals or small groups of students as they learn to use various reading strategies. The various strategies include: context clues, letter and sound relationships, word structure, and so forth. Although guided reading has been traditionally associated with primary grades (K-3), it can be modified and used successfully in all grade levels.
