Kyle Litzenberg began his education with Julian Charter School’s home study program when he was 5 years old. His educational facilitator quickly noticed that Kyle was very advanced in many areas and suggested to his family that he skip ahead. Later, Kyle continued his education at the Greater San Diego Academy Charter School. When asked about his home study experience (in relation to the lack of social skills stigma) Kyle said, “I don’t think necessarily that home-schooling makes a child be boxed in or socially off-put”. “It just depends on how you live your life. There are several kids in public school who are never very good in public. I think it’s less about being home-school than how you are as a person.”
Kyle is now 12 years old, and will be attending college at MiraCosta College this fall. To read his full story, click the link below.
